Quick and Easy No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Drops

1.6K

These whole food plant-based desserts are super delicious and easy to make–and, of course, there’s no baking! If you’re going to make these, and I suggest you do, keep a few things in mind.

  1. As you can see in the video thumbnail, and the picture of the finished product below, I covered my chocolate oatmeal drops in strawberries. This is highly recommended, as these desserts are super rich and creamy- a few strawberries, cherries, or other fruits give them some much needed balance.
  2. I used extra dark cocoa powder because that’s the look I wanted. If you want something that looks more like milk chocolate, use a lighter color cocoa powder.
  3. These things are delicious! However, I think they can be even better. Next time I make them I’m going to add some nuts to the recipe, perhaps some crushed hazelnuts, kind of like a Ferrero Rocher! I’m also going to get some dried, shredded coconut to roll them around in, which will improve both the taste and the appearance of the chocolate balls.
  4. Finally, if your feeding these to kids, roll them in candy sprinkles first–they love the colors against the black chocolate balls!
